Construction field Technicians

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be required to be thoroughly knowledgeable regarding the standard test methods for all tests performed by a construction field technician and perform these tests. Field duties include grading observation and soil compaction testing; compaction testing and observation of aggregate base and asphalt concrete; observation and inspection of reinforcing steel in concrete and masonry construction and obtaining samples of soil, aggregate base, asphalt, mortar, grout and cement concrete. Duties also include maintaining of proper and complete files of field and laboratory data, reports, letters, and other pertinent field data, maintain clear communications with the Project Manager regarding all aspects of the field work including providing of neat and orderly project documentation.

Education:

The ideal candidate will have soil, masonry, asphalt concrete, and cement concrete testing field experience. Certifications such as ATTI, ICC, NICET, ACI and nuclear gauge certifications are required.

Required Skills:

Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude, good organizational skills, and a strong work ethic. Must have a current valid driver’s license and good driving record.
