

Job Description:
The successful candidate will have at least five years of geotechnical consulting experience, including meeting and interacting with clients, and managing of small to medium (up to $1 million) projects. The Senior Project Engineer will have strong technical and problem solving skills and will direct, oversee and participate in field activities, including logging of borings, test pits, trenches and cores, evaluation of geologic and seismic hazards, forensic evaluation of distressed structures and failed slopes, perform liquefaction, slope stability, settlement analyses and prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and reports. Experience with construction and grading activities is also desired. Duties of the Senior Project Engineer will also include providing technical mentorship and oversight to staff-level engineers, geologists and field technicians. Some marketing activities are desired.
Education:
B.S./M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent.
Required Skills:
The desired candidate will have a masters degree in geotechnical engineering or similar field, and be a Registered Professional Engineer in California. The ideal candidate will have registration as a Geotechnical Engineer with a minimum of five years of consulting experience and be familiar with engineering practice in Southern California. Candidate should be a team player, be detail-oriented and have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
