Construction Field Technician and Inspector

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be knowledgeable and have a minimum of 1 year of experience with the standard methods used on job sites and in the laboratory for quality control observation and testing of soils, concrete, asphalt and other construction materials. Duties include observing and documenting earthwork, pavement construction and concrete placement operations, as well as performing quality control tests, recording the results, and presenting them on standard written forms. Some heavy lifting is required. This is a full-time position with benefits. Public works projects pay prevailing wage rates.

Education:

The ideal candidate will have soil & concrete testing experience for a geotechnical engineering or materials testing company. Someone with ACI, nuclear gauge & Caltrans certification is preferred. ICC special inspection certifications are a plus.
