Senior / Principal Geotechnical Engineer

Job Description:

Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening for a Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer in our Oakland office.  The successful candidate is a registered California Geotechnical Engineer with a minimum of ten years of geotechnical engineering consulting experience. A well-rounded experience in geotechnical engineering, strong work ethics, excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, and a track record of successful client relationship and service are required. The Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer will direct, review, and oversee medium to large (up to $2 million) projects. The candidate will keep abreast of engineering advances; mentor junior staff; provide leadership in superior client relationships; assist in marketing; provide ongoing training to engineering staff; provide direction and review of engineering work products; and review and sign geotechnical proposals and reports.

Education:

B.S./M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering

Required Skills:

Registered Geotechnical Engineer in California with ten years plus experience with a geotechnical consulting firm performing duties described above. Candidate should have a thorough understanding and knowledge of geotechnical engineering. The successful candidate will have work experience with construction and earthwork activities. Candidate should have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude, and excellent problem solving skills.
