

Job Description:
Manages environmental projects, including meeting and interacting with the client, understanding client needs and crafting suitable project scope, assuring completion of scope, monitoring quality and schedule, and managing project budgets. The Environmental Project Manager will also coordinate and participate in field activities; including coordination of laboratory personnel; scheduling of field subcontractors (drill crews, construction crews, etc.); and oversight of field, lab, and office data. Project managers assure field tasks are completed in accordance with sampling plans and quality assurance plans; and local, state, and federal regulations. Report preparation duties include research, data compilation and analysis, preparation of effective figures and tables, drafting text to document project activities, drafting conclusions and recommendations. This includes the acquisition, documentation and dissemination of data related to all project phases. Other duties may include identification of remedial options; remediation system design; remediation system design and start-up; drafting work plans, sampling and analysis plans, characterization reports, health & safety plans, and client and regulatory correspondence. The Environmental Project Manager may delegate tasks and supervise the work of clerical, staff, or senior staff individuals. The Environmental Project Manager would work under the supervision of a senior project/senior/or principal-level individual.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering, Environmental Science, Soil Science, or related field.
Required Skills:
The position requires a minimum of five years experience in environmental consulting. The position requires local experience and familiarity with state, local, and federal environmental regulations. A thorough understanding of near-surface soil and geologic conditions that control the transport of water and contaminants is required. An Environmental Project Manager should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. Must be able to work both independently and as a team member. Must have a current valid driver’s license. Current OSHA 1910.120 HAZWOPER training required.
Desired Skills:
RCRA experience and PE or PG licensures are a plus.
