

Job Description:
Ninyo & Moore Geotechnical and Environmental Sciences Consultants has an immediate opening for a Senior Environmental Engineer or Scientist with experience and expertise in Air Quality Services. Our office locations are Denver, Irvine, Las Vegas, Oakland, Phoenix, and San Diego. This position is a corporate role, candidates may be considered from geographic locations near any of our offices. Travel will be necessary. The successful candidate will independently develop, implement, coordinate, and oversee complex air quality programs and projects relating to clients compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations. They will have the expertise necessary to analyze complex air quality, meteorological or toxicological data and provide assessment reports of potential problem areas that may have air quality impacts.
Candidates will be required to write and edit detailed scientific reports for clients that evaluate long-term results from various system-wide quality programs suitable for submission to regulatory agencies. They will have the ability to coordinate complex environmental air permitting activities for client facilities and operations; and, provide regulatory and scientific expertise, advice, guidance and interpretation to clients to ensure or improve compliance with air quality regulations. The successful candidate will represent clients, as required, before regulatory agencies, industry groups and the public on environmental issues, read, analyze, and interpret new and existing regulations, inspect and advise on operations, construction, procedures, records and training to ensure compliance with environment requirements prescribed in laws, regulations, and clients policies and procedures. The position will require utilization of electronic databases to analyze and monitor clients compliance with regulatory requirements.
Education:
Bachelor degree in engineering, environmental sciences or related field required, 3-5 years of progressive experience. Work experience with power plants and electricity distribution companies, consulting experience, and bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
