Construction Field Technician

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be required to be thoroughly knowledgeable  regarding the standard test methods for all tests performed by a construction  field technician and perform these tests. Field duties include grading  observation and soil compaction testing; compaction testing and observation of  aggregate base and asphalt concrete; and obtaining samples of soil,  aggregate base, asphalt. Duties also include maintaining of proper and  complete files of field and laboratory data, reports, letters, and other  pertinent field data, maintain clear communications with the Project Manager  regarding all aspects of the field work including providing of neat and  orderly project documentation.

Education:

The ideal candidate will have soil, asphalt concrete,  and concrete testing field experience. NAQTC  Laboratory and Field and ACI Field Grade  I certifications are required.

Required Skills:

Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a  positive attitude, good organizational skills, and a strong work ethic. Must  have NDOT  experience and a current valid driver’s license and good driving  record.
