Field Technician

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be knowledgeable and have a minimum of 3 years of experience with the standard methods used on job sites and in the laboratory for quality control observation and testing of soils, concrete, asphalt and other construction materials. Duties include observing and documenting earthwork, pavement construction and concrete placement operations, as well as performing quality control tests, recording the results, and presenting them on standard written forms. Some heavy lifting is required.

Education:

The ideal candidate will have soil & concrete testing experience for a geotechnical engineering or materials testing company. Someone with ACI, nuclear gauge required, & NICET, WAQTC, CDOT certification is preferred.

Required Skills:

Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude, good organizational skills, and a strong work ethic. Ability to physically handle samples of soils, concrete, and other building material exceeding 50 pounds. Must have a current valid driver’s license.
