Inglewood Street Improvements,

Ninyo & Moore performed a geotechnical investigation to provide pavement recommendations for the rehabilitation of seven intersections. The project included modification and improvements to intersections of local streets with Crenshaw Boulevard and Imperial Highway. Both of these major arterial roadways have parallel frontage roads. The interchange improvements included reconfigured intersections with angled openings to the frontage roads and realigned curbs and gutters to help increase traffic flow. The roadway work included new asphalt concrete pavement sections for the intersections, as well as new Portland cement concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and driveways along the frontage roads. Our investigation included evaluation of the existing pavement sections for both structural section and performance, as well as evaluation of the subgrade soils to be utilized for the design of the new pavement sections based on the applicable roadway's design traffic index.
