Gold Line-East Side Extension

Ninyo & Moore was retained to provide full time geotechnical services as an integrated member of the Construction Management Team for the Metropolitan Transportation Authorities' (MTA) East Side Light Rail Transit Project. This project includes the construction of two parallel subway tunnels accessed by three new underground stations. The tunnel construction was completed using two Earth Pressure Balance Tunnel Boring Machines (EPB TBM's). Our services included implementation and management of the geotechnical instrumentation program and provided evaluation of soil related issues throughout construction.
