Master Contract Agreements


Ninyo & Moore has provided a wide range of environmental consulting and contracting services at Department of Transportation maintenance stations and at other project sites throughout the State under On-Call Master Agreements. Many times we met a demanding work schedule through use of experienced field personnel, extended/holiday/weekend work hours, efficient project planning and management, careful selection and management of subcontractors, and close coordination with Department of Transportation project management personnel. Our services on these contracts have included removal and installation of underground storage tanks (USTs) and systems; installation of aboveground storage tanks (ASTs); preparation of site characterization and remediation work plans; characterization and delineation of soil contamination by drilling borings and/or excavating trenches, collecting soil samples, and analytical testing; characterization and delineation of groundwater contamination by designing and constructing wells, sampling, and analytical testing; performance of asbestos and lead-based paint surveys of buildings within rights-of-way; performance of feasibility studies (including human health and environmental risk assessment reports) to select appropriate remedial technologies based on technical factors, cost, and time constraints; performance of contamination abatement by removal of contaminated soil and groundwater; completion of geophysical surveys; performance of pilot testing of site remediation systems (vapor extraction and air sparging); performance of risk assessment and remedial action planning studies; provision of on-call emergency environmental field services in high environmental risk pavement and deep foundation construction areas; conduct of aerially deposited lead (ADL) surveys for roadway expansion projects, including sampling, testing, statistical analyses and GIS mapping; and performance of radiological surveying and GIS mapping of roadway fill slopes affected by landfill burn ash.
