Studio 15 Lofts

Ninyo & Moore was retained to perform geotechnical, environmental and fault hazard evaluations for the Studio 15 lofts project. The project included a multi-story building for loft residences with underground parking. Ninyo & Moore's exploration services included CPT probes, exploratory test pits, and fault hazard evaluation trenches to evaluate fault activity and geotechnical and environmental parameters at the site. Laboratory testing was performed to evaluate soil corrosivity and levels of contaminants. Recommendations were provided which considered development constraints such as shallow groundwater, loose fill, cobble layers near foundation grades, and onsite contamination.
