Ralph and Betty Englestead Campus of Opportunity Village

Ninyo & Moore performed an Air Quality study as part of an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Ralph and Betty Englestead Campus of Opportunity Village located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The new Opportunity Village Campus consists of a 10.9-acre site that will house an Art Enrichment Center, an Employment Resource Center, and an open air amphitheater with state of the art handicap accessibility, and a 2.5 acre park. For the Air Quality section of the EA, Ninyo & Moore assessed air quality attainment status of the National Ambient Air Quality Standards; performed climate assessment, regulatory authority review, emission calculations for existing conditions and for each proposed action, and analysis of potential impacts for each proposed action; and provided conclusions and recommendations for mitigating measures. Ninyo & Moore’s services were conducted to assess the potential impacts as a result of the planned site development. Ninyo & Moore performed an Air Quality study as part of an Environmental Assessment (EA) for University of Nevada Las Vegas Research Foundation’s proposed Solar Technology Center (STC) located in Boulder City, Nevada. The STC will be a research, development, educational training, and outreach center for renewable energy and conservation. The facility will also offer services to the community by educating students and providing hands on experiences in the solar energy industry. Improvements on the 33-acre site will include a one-story visitor’s center and laboratory, two solar technology-testing areas, and an associated parking lot.
